The fifth Tampere International Salsa Festival will be organized 25-27 of July 2008. The first salsa festival of Finland brings to the city eight top salsa instructores, 36 dance lessons, four hot salsa parties, an international salsa orchestra - and off course, houndreds of salsa dancers from different parts of Finland, Nordic and Baltic countries!

One of the best Cuban salsa & timba orchestras, David Calzado y su Charanga Habanera performs at Tampere Salsa festival's main event, Saturday's salsa party in Pakkahuone on 26 July. Festival's Party Ticket includes also the concert - order tickets from the Tickets & Prices -page!

Tampere International Salsa Festival offers this year salsa lessons also for beginners. Beginners' Salsa Festival will take place in dance school Salsa Pasión from Monday to Wednesday 21.-23.7.08. 12 salsa lessons and Salsa festival's four salsa parties all for 89 euro. The fifth Tampere International Salsa Festival will be organized in the sport centre of the University of Tampere, called Atalpa. The dance halls have wooden floors and solo dance hall has mirrows on two walls.

Tampere Salsa Festival teachers have confirmed their arrival to Tampere on 25.-27.7.08: Cuban Yanek Revilla, Jorge Camaguey, Yamira Sanchez and Israel Gutierres, Lautaro Ariño (Sweden), Candice Leong (Great-Britain), Michal Sejkora and Eva Marsalek (Tsech Republic).
