SALSORRO 2008
7º NW SPAIN INTERNATIONAL SALSA CONGRESS
The 7th edition of the NW Spain International Salsa Congress, Salsorro 2008, will take place in Santiago de Compostela on November, 7th to 9th.
As in the two previous editions, all the activities will take place in the Galicia Conference Center and the luxurious Puerta del Camino hotel, placed a few meters away one another, as it can be seen in the image.
Salsorro 2008 has the best venue internationally to run a salsa congress.
All the activities take place in the same location, less than 5 minutes away of the Santiago de Compostela (SCQ) airport and with more than 1000 hotel beds around made available by the organization at special rates.
Participants can part of all the activities included in the program without moving.
The shows take place in the theatre of the Conference Center, with more than 1600 seats that participants can choose when booking online. The sooner the booking is made, the better the seat in the theatre.
The congress line-up is made up of more than 15 salsa companies, chosen among the best dancers in the world.
Main workshops are taught in two 1500m2 rooms and there are four more rooms to be used simultaneously. At every hour in the program, there are workshops in parallel of advanced, intermediate and beginner levels.
In the evening, there are two parties simultaneously. Apart from the main salsa party, there is a second room where softer salsa, bachata, kizomba, reggaeton, etc. are played.
The main hotel is the luxurious Puerta del Camino hotel, rated with 5 stars.
The organization has reserved three more hotels -rated with 4, 3 and 1 stars- around the main hotel. All these hotels are available during the booking process.
The event program is completed with other activities such as master classes, professional seminars, the ExpoSalsorro 2008 booths, etc. All the extras can be also selected during the booking process, in the extras section.
The gala dinner, with 650 participants in 2007, takes place on Saturday evening in the rooms of the Puerta del Camino hotel, with a violinists trio playing live.
During the gala dinner, the Salsorro annual awards and the TopDance 2008 awards are given.
The city of Santiago de Compostela, considered World Heritage City by UNESCO, has an extraordinary torist appealing and a excepcional gastronomic offer to combine with the event program.
In 2007, 100% of the available tickets were sold and all the accommodations in the 4 official hotels were sold out. If you are interested in coming, book asap!
