“Live The Salsa Spirit” for three days at the Olympic venue in Faliro, from November 28th until November 30th, 2008. For the first time in Greece, a three-day international Salsa dance festival is being held. The first “Todo Latino Salsa Festival” takes place, with the participation of the greatest performers of the international Salsa scene.
Participants will have the opportunity to attend Salsa workshops, to watch dance shows performed by the most distinguished international Salsa dancers (Eddie Torres, Tropical Gem, Super Mario, Yamulee, U-Tribe and many more) and also to participate in dance contests with great awards ($10,000 prize and the chance for the winners to attend famous international festivals).
The most popular band, the “El Gran Combo De Puerto Rico”, as well as the “New Swing Sextet” will perform at the Festival, whereas big parties with well known DJs will be held every night.
The venue will be specially formed according to the needs of the event including:
- Four different areas where the dance workshops will be held
- A grand stage which will be used for the shows and the live appearances of the bands
- A 1000 square meters dance floor will be available
- Light and special effects equipment that will transform the stadium arena into a unique Salsa party venue
- 2 lounges with distinct design for the guests' relaxation
- Bars, stands, kiosks that serve food and beverages
- A merchandising area with dance equipment
