Zurich Salsa Congress – Salsa Festival Switzerland – February 20 – 22, 2009

"Zurich" is not just a Salsa festival, for years now, it's THE Salsafestival in Europe. Many of our guests think it's definitely a class of ot's own.

The concert of "The New Swing Sextet" on Friday night was also commented extremely positively. On Sunday suspense was guaranteed by the world's first qualification for the Annual World Salsa Championships.

In 2009 the Salsafestival will again make history:
We'll invite not only "The New Swing Sextet" from New York again, but also exclusively the Salsa legend "Cheo Feliciano"!
That memorable concert will be unique in Europe. If you are a true Salsa lover, you can't miss that historical moment!

We start our weekend again with a pre-party on Thursday in club X-TRA, Switzerland's biggest weekly Salsa party. The entry fee is not included in any pass.

Friday, February, 20, 2009 / Kongresshaus Zürich
20.00h: Begin of the registrations in the entrance hall of the Kongresshaus Zürich at Claridenstrasse.
21.00h: Doors open. Party on 2 huge dance floors.
22.30h: Salsa shows on highest international level.
24.00h: We write history with THE NEW SWING SEXTET und CHEO FELICIANO!
03.00h: Begin of the open end afterparty.

Saturday, February, 21, 2009 / Kongresshaus Zürich
10.30h: Doors open to the workshops. Registrations.
11.00h: Selection of more than 30 excellent workshops in 6 halls of the Kongresshaus.
13.15h: Lunch break until 14.45h
13.30h: Stargate shows. The best show is selected through applause, and can perform on Saturday night.
18.15h: End of the workshops.
18.30h Crash course.
20.00h: Begin of the registrations in the entrance hall of the Kongresshaus Zürich at Claridenstrasse.
21.00h: Doors open. Party on 2 huge dance floors with enough space for Europe's grandest Salsa party.

22.30h: First set of Salsa shows of the highest international level.
24.00h: Second set of Salsa shows of the highest international level.

13.30h: Preselection of the Qualification of the Annual World Salsa Championships in Orlando.

20.00h: Begin of the registrations in the entrance hall of the Kongresshaus Zürich at Claridenstrasse.
21.00h: Doors open. Party in the magnificent ball room.
22.30h: Salsa shows of the highest international level.

Monday, February, 23, 2009 / Location: Salsa Rica in the Maag Areal
The Salsafestival is way to beautiful to end on Monday morning already. Salsa Rica is the legendary Monday Salsa party of Zürich. If you're travelling back on Tuesday, don't miss this extension of the Salsafestival Switzerland.
