New York International Salsa Congress – September 2 to 6, 2009 – Newyork City, Newyork, USA

The New York International Salsa Congress is New York City's PREMIER Latin Dance & Music event where the world comes to dance no matter your style and/or age, wether you're a amateur or professional dancer.  Held for 3 days & 4 nights (this year September 2 – 6, 2009), every Labor Day Weekend, which was rightfully declared the Official New York Salsa Congress Weekend by Mayor Bloomberg in 2005.

For one long week besides the NYISC Launch Party, 4 Pre-Parties and Welcome Party at different locations in New York City starting the Friday – Wednesday(Aug. 28 - Sept. 2)before the event, from morning to early morning.

• Over 45 workshops from beginner to advanced levels in different styles of Latin dance, being taught by a list of the most sought after Instructors both nationally and internationally renowned.

• Over 90 Spectacular Artist Showcases comprised of the hottest local and international dance groups from Thursday to Sunday. Not to mention our daily matinee performances starting at 6 PM which includes our Saturday matinee New York's Got Salsa Youth Showcase.

• Our Live (4 Day) Concert Series with some of the most sought after & respected bands in the Latin community, plus DJs playing the Hottest Salsa and Cha-Chas around so you can dance the rest of the night away.

• The 3rd Annual BAILASOCIETY.COM New York International Salsa Dance Championship presented by Salsa Footsie.  3 categories, $15,000 in total cash prizes.  Let's see who will be crowned the 2009 champions.
