In 2010 there will be salsa holidays in Tuscany (Italy) from

• 24th till the 31st of July
• 31st of July till 10th of August

During 7 days or 10 days you’ll enjoy

Check out the many great video‘s and pictures of last summer to have a better idea! Go to the ‘program’ on this website to see a detailed program of each stage. The holidays are open for beginners up to advanced, each level will have its own classes.

We propose a DISCOUNT of 5% for a group of 3 persons enrolling at the same time and a DISCOUNT of 10% for a group of 5 persons enrolling at the same time!

It is also possible to take care of your own housing! There will then be adiscount of 15 euro per day on the enrolment fee for the stage.

Note that even in the August stage you can choose to participate only to a 7 days stage: 31st of July to 7th of August!

The instructors for the July stage will be Gaëtan Collaert, Fouad Agharas and Vicky Jutten. For the stage in August it’ll be Carl Hourcau, Paul Baarn and Aldona Niemiro. All of these instructors are professionals with a lot of experience and well known in our profession.

We’ll be staying in an area in the South-West of Tuscany close to the sea. The dance classes will take place in Prata and Boccheggiano, two small medieval villages on top of a hill, with a great panoramic view on the coast and the surrounding hills and woods.  The sea is 25 minutes away, the great city of Massa Marittima is 10 minutes away, other cities like Siena,  San Gimignano,Volterra, even Firenze are all within reach.

The organisation will provide furthermore for the housing of the participants. We’ve selected a number of fine locations in the immediate area of Prata and Boccheggiano: bed & breakfasts, hotels, rooms, … The ‘standard fee’ is based on housing in apartments with 4 or 6 people.  If you would rather have a single or a double room, that’s possible too, please check the ‘Housing‘ page on this website.

We will organize and coordinate the trip to Tuscany and during the stage as it is important to have cars in this area (public transportation is rare). We will organizecar pooling as much as possible to Tuscany and back but also during the stay. See the ‘Transportation‘ page for more info.

EVENT SCHEDULE:

Day 1 (Sat 24)

• Arrivals from 5pm on at Bar Il Gabellino (Il Gabellino is a small place in the valley between the two villages Prata and Boccheggiano). The coordinator will accompany you to your housing and will give you a short overview of the area.
• Welcome dinner 9pm at the Trattoria Il Gabellino.

Day 2 (Sun 25)

• 10.30-13: classes (last 30′: practicum) in two levels
• 16-18: classes (last 15′: practicum)
• party! (in Prata)

Day 3 (Mon 26)

• 9.30-12.00:  classes
• 14.30-19: trip with guide to Regional Maremma Park
• Picknick on the beach inside the Regional Park.
• Party! (Cocoon Club, Istia d’Ombrone)

Day 4 (Tue 27)

• 10-12.30: classes (last 30′: practicum)
• 16-19: trip to agriturismo Montepozzali
  • workshops
  • cold buffet
  • after party at the swimming pool

Day 5 (Wed 28)

• 10-13.00: classes
• 16-18.00: classes
• party! (Follonica, Bar Bagni Parrini)

Day 6 (Thur 29)

• 10-13.00: classes (last 30′: practicum)
• evening: picknick on the beach (Cala Violina)

Day 7 (Frid 30)

• 10-12.30: classes (last 15′: practicum)
• 15-17: practicum with all teachers
• goodbye dinner in Boccheggiano (La Ciottolona)
• goodbye party in Bolero, Scarlino Scalo.
